After 10 years, controversial TV host-comedian Willie Revillame is making a huge comeback on TV5.
Today, April 26 (Friday), Revillame signed a joint venture deal with MediaQuest Holdings Inc. that sealed his much-awaited comeback on the Kapatid Network.
Joining Revillame is MediaQuest Holdings officials Sienna Olaso and John Andal, Cignal TV President Jane Basas and TV5 President Guido Zaballero.
“Gusto kong magpasalamat sa inyo, of course kay [Manuel V. Pangilinan], sa second chance,” Revillame said. “Alam ko namang may doubt pa rin, but you have to understand syempre ‘yung mga pinagdaanan—alam niyo naman ‘yung pinagdaanan ko sa ibang channel.”, Revillame said in his contract signing.
Revillame also confirmed that they will no longer use the name "Wowowin" as his comeback program on TV5.
According to Willie, they are having brainstrom meetings for their new program on the Kapatid Network.
Wowowin was Willie's last program that aired on GMA Network from 2015 to 2022 and on ALLTV from 2022 to 2023.
Kuya Wil also assured TV5 and its executives that he is willing to help the Pangilinan-led TV station in any capacity in terms of improving its programming lineup.
“Hindi lang ‘yung bagong programa ko ang aalagaan ko, even TV5. Kung anong maitutulong ko sa TV5, kung anong creativity, ideas, kahit walang bayad I’m willing to do that,” Revillame said.
The said new game show of Revillame will air on TV5 this year at the Hapon Champion block.
