And it's official.
"Eat Bulaga!" returns to it's original family starting today, January 6, 2024 as TVJ Productions formally renamed their noontime show back to "Eat Bulaga!" after 6 months.
This comes after the Marikina Regional Trial Court (RTC) Branch 273 ruled in favor of comedic triumvirate Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto and Joey de Leon on their copyright infringement and unfair competition complaint case filed against Television and Production Exponents Inc. (TAPE) and GMA Network.
It also coincided with it's comeback on Channel 9 after almost 35 years via CNN Philippines.
During their opening spiels, former Senator Tito Sotto read some portions of the court's decision and thanks their loyal supporters and viewers for their trust.
His brother meanwhile, comedian Vic Sotto reiterated that there is only one "Eat Bulaga!" that is being recognized by both the Philippine Law and the general public.
"Isa lang ang pwedeng tawaging 'Eat Bulaga!' at yun ay dito sa TV5", the 69-year old comedian said.
TVJ also thanked their co-hosts and their staff who sided with them throughout this ordeal.
