After more or less 6 months, production firm Television and Production Exponents Inc. (TAPE) has officially dropped the name "Eat Bulaga!" as the title of their noontime show on GMA Network.
The Jalosjos-led production firm has officially launched "Tahanang Pinakamasaya" a while ago.
This comes after the decision of the Marikina Regional Trial Court (RTC) Branch 273 ordering TAPE Inc. and GMA Network to stop using names such as "Eat Bulaga!" and "EB", as well as the program's theme song, segments and it's past episodes until May 31, 2023.
In the first minutes of the program's episode today, it's host former Manila City Mayor Isko Moreno Domagoso said that they are following the court's order against TAPE but reiterated that they will not stop from doing their job.
"Nga pala, mga Kapuso. May balita po tayo natanggap kahapon ha kaya tayo po ay susunod sa kung ano man ang desisyon ng korte pero lagi po tayong fresh episode ha", part of Domagoso's spiels.
Despite this, TAPE Inc.'s legal counsel Atty. Maggie Abraham-Garduque said they will still file an appeal against the court's decision in favor of TVJ Productions.
