TV5 and Nine Media Corporation has officially launched the new free TV channel "RPTV" today, February 1.

The new free TV channel started it's broadcasting with Radyo5's radio program "Ted Failon at DJ ChaCha sa Radyo5" at 6AM.

Other programs that will be shown on the said TV channel are "Wanted sa Radyo", "Gud Morning Kapatid", "Frontline Tonight", the live airing of the games of the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) and the country's top rating and longest running noontime show "Eat... Bulaga!".

In a statement, MediaQuest Holdings Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Jane Basas expressed her optimism that RPTV will give an alternative entertainment habit to Filipinos.

"We are excited to embark on this journey and contribute positively to the lives of viewers. RPTV is here to create memorable moments for families by becoming a go-to destination for quality and diverse content", part of Basas' statement.
